Citigroup agrees to buy Mount Pleasant’s Automated Trading Desk for about $680 million
The electronic trading firm accounted for about 6% of all New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq volume last year. Citi says ATD will keep its headquarters in Mount Pleasant, and its CEO will lead Citi’s global electronic market making.
