   New World Alliance picks Charleston for twice-weekly calls on a new Europe service

   The Americas Europe Express will link Charleston with Rotterdam, Bremerhaven and Felixstowe, and with Latin America through Panama. Charleston is the only port in the region on the route.

   Blackbaud agrees to buy Austin’s Convio in a deal valued at about $275 million

   The Daniel Island nonprofit software company will pay $16 a share in cash, a 49% premium, for the online fundraising firm that went public in 2010. Blackbaud says the two companies together had $440 million in revenue in the 12 months that ended Sept. 30.
