Mercedes-Benz Vans opens expanded Sprinter plant as Amazon orders 20,000 vans
The $500 million expansion in Ladson adds a body shop and paint shop, so the plant can build the new Sprinter from scratch instead of reassembling German kits. More than 900 people work at the site.
