Work is under way on Palmetto Railways’ $185 million rail line to Volvo’s Camp Hall plant
The state-owned railroad is building a line from Camp Hall Commerce Park to a CSX connection near Cross, about eight years after the state promised rail service to Volvo. Lawmakers approved the last major piece of funding May 16.
