   The 418-foot cutter entered service at Union Pier Terminal in its new homeport of Charleston. A second national security cutter, the James, is slated to follow.

   Century Aluminum takes full ownership of the Mt. Holly smelter

   The Chicago company closed its purchase of Alcoa’s 50.3% stake in the Berkeley County plant. Its next job is a new power deal, with the current Santee Cooper contract ending in 13 months.
