   Santee Cooper and SCE&G stop building the two new V.C. Summer reactors

   Santee Cooper’s board voted to suspend construction, saying the project would end up costing its customers $11.4 billion. SCE&G followed and said it will ask state regulators to approve an abandonment plan.

   Greystar-led fund agrees to buy Monogram Residential Trust in a $3 billion deal

   Stockholders of the Plano, Texas, apartment company would get $12 a share in cash. Monogram’s 49 communities would seed a new long-term fund that Charleston-based Greystar is forming with three big global investors.
