Inside Real Estate has acquired BoomTown, the Charleston company whose software helps real estate agents find clients and turn them into sales, the companies announced today.
Neither company disclosed the price.
BoomTown, founded in 2006, says its cloud-based sales and marketing platform serves about 100,000 real estate professionals, including 40% of the teams on the Real Trends Top 250 list. Its brands include Brokermint, a back-office and transaction management software company, and MyAgentFinder. BoomTown’s website lists its address as 1505 King Street Extension in Charleston.
Inside Real Estate, maker of the kvCORE platform, says it works with more than 400,000 real estate professionals and has about 250 employees.
The combined company will be headquartered in Salt Lake City, with offices in Charleston and Carlsbad, Calif., according to the announcement. Inside Real Estate CEO Joe Skousen will continue as chief executive. BoomTown CEO and co-founder Grier Allen becomes chief strategy officer, and Nick Macey is president.
“This is the first day of an exciting new chapter for BoomTown and our clients!” Allen said in the announcement. “Joining Joe and the talented Inside Real Estate team enables us to continue on our combined mission to serve the real estate industry with world-class technology and services.”
Skousen praised what Allen and the BoomTown team “have built and accomplished with their clients over the past 15 years.”
“Our companies share a common DNA that is focused on driving real results for every client, every day,” Skousen said.
The companies plan to combine their tools for agents, teams and brokerages, including back-office products such as CORE Back Office, BoomTown’s Brokermint and Inside Real Estate’s recently acquired AmpStats.
Houlihan Lokey was BoomTown’s financial adviser, and DLA Piper was its legal adviser.
The announcement did not say how many BoomTown employees work in Charleston.
